V73E is a multifunctional ingredient for skin-care and cosmetic products.As an oil-in-water nano-emulsifier, it can form a stable creamy nano-emulsions in size range of 70~200nm with relatively low emulsifier concentration and very low viscosity. With Dynamo V73E, the oil content can be loaded up to 80% in the emulsion at normal atmosphere pressure by simply high-speed stirring without any special instruments. The nano-sized emulsion can provide high efficiency of delivery as well as increased stability of active ingredients loaded in oil phase, which is crucial to skin-care and cosmetic products.

The amphoteric nature of the chemical structure of V73E also makes it a legitimate dispersant of powder ingredients in oil phase. The PEG-70/PPG-30 hydrophilic long chain part contains 100 moiety of oxygen anchor sites (ether group) which can provide strong binding force on large particle surface. With the help of hydrophobic part of tocopherol (branched hydrocarbon long chain), V73E is able to disperse and stabilize micro-sized to nano-sized powder particles especially metal oxides in oil phase at very high powder content.

It has also been tested that V73E is especially effective for emulsify chemical UV-filter reagents such as 4-butyl resorcinol. This effect may be attributed to the intermolecular interaction between the aromatic rings which are found in both V73E molecule and most of UV-filter reagents. Usually, in sub-block formula, high degree of UV shelter effect means high UV-filter reagent concentration that will also make the skin feeling oilier and stickier. The superior compatibility between V73E and most UV-filter reagents makes it possible to delivery both high degree of UV shelter effect and extremely light skin feelings in sunblock formula.

Since V73E itself is a water-soluble vitamin E derivate, it will also work on skin as an anti-oxidant like natural Vitamin E but with water solubility. Products with V73E will also delivery anti-aging, ant-wrinkle functionality as well as protect skin from UV radiation.
